What are the extreme tuning differences that will still work between the top head and bottom head on large toms and kicks and snares for that matter.
I have an acrylic RCI Starlite Bonham sized kit which is very loud....But tuning it reasonably high seems to get the best out of it. Do people recommend the same tension on top and bottom heads or tighter bottoms and slightly slacker top heads.....
I am using REMO black dot heads and they are very unforgiving in their tuning!!!!!!
Has anyone used the Fybreskyn drum heads on rock kits to any degree of success??
Stop banging your head against the drum, go get the Drum Dial, it also comes with a tuning chart for the top and bottm. That's by DrumDial Inc. Used by the pros. I preffer the Remo weather beaters that don't go out of tune no matter what the ambience. If you can find them. Also the Remo Pinstripe are good on my Gretsch kit. Problem solved. Next?
