Wasn't your Tama your first set?
Is the GIG temporary?
Tama rockstars are pretty good, dude.
They sound great.
I hope your Cuz takes care of it.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

I was looking at the Tama Rockstar and imperial star as my next drum set.
But I had to go with the gretsch Catalina Ash kit. I turned away from the
imperial because it had the Meinl HCS cymbal pack and those are terrible.
I didn't feel like wasting my time selling those and getting new alpha cymbals.
And the Rock star didn't fit my needs.
But the Rockstar is awesome. I played it at my friends house. (He's a begginer.)
I should look up GIG on Google or something. Cause I never heard of it.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

Right now I'm playing on a sound Percussion 5-piece kit
with mixed cymbals, wuhan china 14'', Sabian B8 ride 20'', Agazarian splash 8'',
and a Sound Percussion 16'' crash. Sadly.
What I'm getting,
Gretsch 6-piece Catalina ash shell pack,
Paiste alpha 16 and 18'' medium crashes,
Agazarian splash,
wuhan china (14'')
Sabian B8 ride (20'') soon to be a paiste alpha metal ride (22'')
Paiste alpha sound edge 14'' hi-hats
and in the future, (christmas)
Remo roto tom set,
Gibraltar drum rack with wings,
Paiste alpha metal splash.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

I'm gonna make a nice big thread for it when I get it.
Of course there will be at least 100,000 pictures
I found the drum rack for $300 on Musiciansfriend.com.
it's pretty insane.

As for te splash I mentioned, I can't deside between that and a Paiste alpha
14'' rock crash. But thats in Christmas. Long way from now.
for my birthday, it will cost from $1,450.00 to $1,500.00
I hope that thread I make will be a hot thread.

I plan on selling the current set. Probably to one of my family members.
I can't wait for that set!!!
