Re: Your Favorite drum heads

I've heard Evans makes good Snare heads.
What do you think?
And are those Tom heads clear?
Did you ever try Aquarian Super Kick II on the bass?
I'm planning on getting them for my next set in August.

They have vintage emperor at my GC, and I would love to have it.
Love the sound. Do you own one Gazzo?
If not than I would say YEA.

They are pretty nice for rock.
I just might have to get one.

Wood hoops??
Wow that sounds nice!
Can you post a pic or 2?
That sounds like a nice looking drum.
The Ambassador will complete that snare.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

I've only used Evans so far in my life, and I really like them, and from what I've heard, a lot of other people like them too. I was going to experiment with Remo, but now I'm thinking of just using Evans. I'm going to look in the Aquarian Superkick II, but I really need to know is what is the best drum head for a punchier sound, not COMPLETELY punchy, but have a nicer punchy sound. I know that many people are going to say it has to do with the beater or a kick pad, but I also know that the head has something to do with it.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

I just got Evans EC reversed dot snare head and Evans EMAD Coated on my bass.
They sound amazing. Soon on my toms I'll have some EC2's.
I'm really liking Evans heads now. The pinstripe bass head doesn't come close to the
EMAD IMO.
