Re: Your Favorite drum heads

The drummers on a stage need good lookig drum kits. In the practice room and most studios I've seen, some heade were darker than night. Specially around the mid areas of the drum heads, talk about skids and dots, all sorts of markings. Specialy the snare.

Remeber, those scuff marks are what give the drums character. If you don't get marks on your drums heads, then your not practicne enough, or changing them too often.

I'm going to make my drum heads darker, if Ican.

Good point Tainojim!
It is a good thing those heads are pitch black!
When I get my new set this August, I'm going to get new heads for that though.

Pro's I've seen play have perfect drum heads you can see your self in!!
that's just the beauty of endorsements.

^^ That would make my day!
Free drum heads would be awesome!
Then (since your famous) you could just through your signature on the old
heads and sell them on E-bay for a good $1,000,000 toward your 80-piece
stage kit.

nice!

of course, if was that famous (not that i am at all)...i would just give DW a call and tell them to re-create terry bozzio's kit twice over. not that i'd need that many drums. then again, i'm also not terry bozzio...heh.

my kit is actually quite basic. 5 piece...set up "bonham" style. 2 crashes, a ride, a pair of hi-hats...and a double pedal. i'm of the logic that less is more....and i'm not attempting to both re-invent the wheel while playing fur elise on my kit...

Yeah, for DW it shouldn't be hard.
That would look sweet, people would ask, "Do you really use all those drums?"
And you would say, "No they just look awesome and make me feel special."
Ahhhhh...... Free heads would be awesome.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

oh, if i got free heads AND a free kit...
that would rock.
that's it. i'm giving DW a call right now and putting in my order...they'll prolly need to add a bit to my garage as well. i'll be able to play every part to every beatles or rolling stones song ever made...EVERY part. that'll be right after i have 4 more limbs attached as well.

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

You know...
On DW's website they have a custom kit builder thats tells you how much money it would be.
just search drum set builder on Yahoo. and find DW's add.
I tryed to build a 7-piece set and it costed $6000 dollars!!

Re: Your Favorite drum heads

i know of DW's kit builder. it depresses me every time.
you don't wanna know how much the kit i designed came out to be...
must work on getting endorsement now....
my current pulse kit is looking mighty weak compared to the kit i designed @ DW's site....
(of course, i DO have a Spaun Custom maple snare...)
