She found out.....
I tryed to pay her back.
But I did make her lagh and she said it was fine.
I got her new sticks for Christmas last year.
The stablest ones I could find.
Now, we're drumming buddys.
Well i use zildjian play with fire 5A sticks all the time and in the 2 years i have been playing i have never EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! broke my sticks even though i play rock/metal.
I usually use 5B or 5BN and they last a couple months or so depending on how much I play. I have sound percussion sticks because I got a bunch of em for free Also they're cheap and I dont break them that often so If I had to get more I'd probably get sound percussion ones even though the brand isnt the greatest.
Have you tried the Aheads yet? Seems like you are hitting the rims or the edges of your cymbals. Maybe you need louder cymbals. Just kidding about the louder cymbals.
I've worn wooden sticks down, but never broke one. Well maybe chipped a few but that's it.
The Aheads are pricey but they do give you that louder and harder sound. The tips and sleeves are replaceable. These sticks have a dye cast metal rod inside of them.
That Japanese wood is very durable.
The original question the this thread was, "How Long Do Sticks Last?"
Answer: "Until They Break".
my aheads last a year with replaceing the tips and sleves once every 2 months.

I use those Nylon tips.
Haven't had them brake yet, but It's getting pretty close.
I got them because they where lighter, and easier to move around.
They have been working pretty good to me.
