That actually should work. Sorry if someone already mentioned this, but, did yo ever try
groove gloves?
I mentioned cotton gloves and coppertone to sleep with, not to play drums with.

Re: What to use on hands?

Hey Slinger, I was referring to the dry cracked hands for Mr. IanSGarner.

Nice find on those gloves, but I was talking about those white cotton gloves sold in the local pharmacy. So that the ointment would seep through the skin and cause faster healing over night.

I check out the site anyway. Those glove look great and for the money their worth it.

if you dont know already, you should never pop a blister, only puncture it with a needle and push the liquid out. your body can still use the layer of skin for callus that it pushed away due to the irritation caused by the sticks.
if parts of your hands dont callus well, like below your thumb (thats where i have a problem), you can rub meat tenderizer on it, and it will help. i have no idea why or how this works but it does.

also, you may be gripping your sticks wrong, but i dunno. if you hold them too tight, obviously it will cause your skin to get irritated and blister. if you dont know for sure, then check.

happy drumming

Jimi The stiches came out today and the only way I can hold the sticks is when I wear those gloves, hopefully it won't be for long between that and the shoulder I'm coming along nice and slow.

Well I guess I can't call you the one armed banded anymore. Great to here your recuperating.
I'll be getting an epidural next month again and going back for matrix therapy.
In a few months, hopefully I'll be in shape for the "Battle of the Crips".

Yup, you and I. Feefy and Fofum. Just for the fun of it all. "No Holds Barred".
I hope the weather agrees with us. Man do I sound old or what?

Gawd I hate blisters.
I get them a lot and I don't pop them.
They go away eventually.
