Foot Pedal Potential?

Hi,

I am an amateur, I'll admit it right there. I have little experience to drumming and wish to change that with help using something obvious: A drum set. I am on a budget when it comes to supplies so I'm actually searching for cheap materials, but is still good to use. Currently, I am seeking a foot pedal.

I currently have one foot pedal in mind called the "Bass drum pedal EHBP". I want to know if it should be bought, or if it's just rubbish. If it's not something I should buy, I will more than appreciate other suggestions on foot pedals based on the quality condition and price.

Re: Foot Pedal Potential?

are you looking for a single pedal or a double?

ive never heard of the brand you mentioned, so i wouldnt go with it if i were you. i understand that you are on a budget, but just remember that you get what you pay for, its better to invest in a pedal that will be a bit more expensive and require a bit more saving than buy a cheap pedal that will only last a little while.

some great brands for pedals are DW, Tama, Pearl, and Taye. check them out and see what interests you.

also, you can always go used. sometimes you can find a used pedal on ebay for $60 of so that brand new costs over 300.

if i were to buy a single pedal, i would go used, but for a double i would buy new. this is just because double pedals seem to have more problems than singles.

happy drumming

I'm preferably looking for a single pedal rather than a double.

If you are taking drumming seriously, you'll want to get something rugged that will last you a long time.

A good drum pedal will cost well over $100 US.

You may want to try EBay.com or Craigslist.com for a used pedal.

Just don't waste your hard earned money on a toy that will break.

Good luck on your venture

MONADO if your looking for a good foot pedal I use the Pearl Eliminator single pedal you can pick it up for under $100.00 it comes with 3 cams and is an excellent pedal, I've had mine for about 5 years, so save up and get that or a decent one but don't gamble on unknown equip.
GOOD LUCK SLINGERLAND

My friend if I were you I'd totally go secondhand with this one. The pedal you have shown does not look like it would hold together well or offer enough adjustability for your learning.

If you pick up an older reputable brand ( gibralter sonor pearl tama dw Taye dixon) pedal and give it a good oiling it'll easily last you into your intermediates.

Nice choice. That is a great pedal with good adjustability, and is made by an industry front runner. I don't think you can go wrong if you were to buy that pedal.
