Please help what does this go too?

I have had this piece that came with my kit. I am not sure where it goes? My kit plays fine but it bugs me not to know what this goes too. Can anyone guess or give a suggestion? Thanks in advance. I have placed the front and back view. It has a rubber piece on the back and 2 holes in the front. I feel like an idiot. Guesses are very much welcomed i will try anything to see where it goes.

No worries Andy, we have fun here so let it fly!

hokie,

The only place I could see something like that going would possibly be on the bass drum pedal or the hi hat stand for anti skid. Thats my best guess. You might also want to call Mapex and ask them, I am sure they would be happy to help you.

Der thanks for the input and you to Andy. I don't see it going to any bass drum or pedal. I traded the Mapex pedal in for another cymbal since i have screaming demons. I will see what i can find out about anti skid unless you can give a better description. Where would it go exactly if you don't mind to elaborate? Maybe i can find something out on Google or you tube. If this is not what it is and if anyone else has guesses let me know all you drum pro's

You know I have never seen anything like that before on any kit I have ever owned but I have never had Mapex before. If it went onto the bass drum pedal or hi hat stand for anti skid I would think it would go on the bottom of the pedal somewhere toward the toe end if I was to guess.

It's a dooamahefer. Don't leave home without it. Some one put that there to make you pay more for the shipping weight.

Actually I think Der's response was better than mine.

I had a screw in a plastic bag for 3 years before I found out it belonged to a bass pedal. The pedal works better now for some reason it's tighter.

It's a good thing too, I thought it had fallen out of my head. But nothing rattled. That's how I knew it wasn't mine.

Hokie, Read my signature.
I would agree with Der.
It looks like the anti-skid bar for the bass drum pedal.

It may have went to the original single drum pedal perhaps. I will hold on to it because i may find it fitting something years down the road. It just irritates me but i am ok. Maybe i can substitute for moon gel

3 years? Holy crap that's great that you at least held on to it and found its place. Maybe one day i will find its place for something. It looks like it could be mounted to something let me check my high-hat pedal.
