Talking Snare side head!!!!!!!

what's up internet buds! my snare side head pulled out of the metal ring and i need a new head. so tell me what the best is for a high pitched, more drum than snare sound. it will be paired with the Evans Genera Dry batter head.

Re: Snare side head!!!!!!!

I use the Evans Hazy 300 snare side. It has a fairly high pitched, sharp, focused attack.

I'm witch-oo. Evans 3oo hazy & st dry. That combination could turn an old soup can into a drum. Any body got an old 14" soup can laying around??

Re: Snare side head!!!!!!!

Remo ambassador clear. i found it sounds best with coated on batter, and 16 strand strainers, that's what i use on my pearl snare.

Talking Re: Snare side head!!!!!!!

I have the Evans genera dry coated top head and now the hazy 300 snare side head and my 12 strand strainer that i cut myself. i do think i shall cut them down once more but to 8 or 10 strands.

under a beat with my cymbals it sounds like joey jordison's snare but a tad lower pitch (i dont want to break any more heads i am poor).
