EMAD or Super kick?

I was thinking about getting a new bass drum head and have been deciding between the Evans EMAD and the Aquarian Super Kick 2. I have heard great things about both but was interested to see the forums opinion. Preferably someone who has played both kinds of heads. Also If you have a suggestion for a resonant bass drum head that would be nice. Thanks!

Super Kick. For Sure. Those things are such amazing heads.
Explosive, big, deep, warm, amazing.
THE best choice for a kick drum head IMO and I think a ,ot of other members of DSC will agree with me.

Just one more question.. does the superkick give a solid thud? As in a gorilla punching you in the chest thud? Because that's mostly what I'm going for

its a very dead sound, but solid and loud at the same time.

That would hurt if you got punched in the chest by a Gorilla.
But yeah, when I played it, it had a HUGE thud.

I'm more of a "BOOM" man than thud.

I like the old sound as opposed to the new sound.

Thats for all the feedback!!! Sounds like the super kick fits the bill but im gonna research it a little more before buying

I tried a coated super kick a long time ago. It was very dead like kicking a cardboard box. I use the evans eq4 with a t-shirt thrown against it. It gives me big gorilla thump. Plus it's a lot cheaper than emad and more versatile I think.
