Drum tuning *again*

Hey! I have a 5 pc. kit, Dixon, pretty old. The problem is that when I tune the low tom(on the bass drum), if I play on it a little, one of the screws always comes undone, making the drum to drop pitch a semitone every time I hit it
Can anyone help?

Hmmm...

Sounds like you got a loose screw.

Happy New Year

You can put a very small drop of lock tight on the lug, it should keep the lug from backing out while playng.

Yup, I was getting to that but you beat me Chris. There are different grades of locktight so make sure you get the lightest grade, or you my not be able to get them out without further damaged to the lug.

It's OK. Also, the idea I think Butter gave was a good one. With cotton balls, you put them in where you screw in the lugs. It really helped stop the rattling sound. Btw, it was the springs that was making the sound.
