I used to break or chip the tips of my sticks like every other day. Now I use pro mark nylon tiped 5A and they last me a good while before I have to replace em. Another thing is that sometimes when I rim shot I dent the stick on the shoulder so watch for that. But the thing thaT kills sticks is crashing them at the wrong way. Try to hit them at about a 30 degree angle not a 50-70 degree angle.
