Mine has the plastic go to my drum and is hard to tighten evenly... Hopping for something less then the price of my snare...

I don't see a picture, Gus. So your strainer is hard to tighten evenly. Are you saying you want to replace it? I don't know the price of your snare. What's your budget for replacing the strainer.

Doesn't matter if their plastic or catgut or what ever material. This procedure works for all types of snare.

Note: If the snares are being place are the original, look for the markings on the plastics, even them out and tighten them all the way.
