I went with the Iron Cobra Double Pedal vs the $700 - $800 pedals when I got my kit to save a little cash to put towards better cymbals. I didn't get the Cobra Coils, but have the holes and slots to be able to add them. Does anyone have any positive or negative input on being worth adding them or not?
When I was using my Iron Cobras I found that the pedals in some situations couldn't keep up with my feet. That is they got sloppy because they wouldn't return fast enough. I think the coils addressed this problem and are a great idea.
Same problem I'm havin. I was thinkin that might be effective, but wanted some input. I cranked the tension up on my springs to try solving the problem but found the extra tension to be too much and I wasn't able to stay relaxed. My feet and legs would tighten up. Plus it caused the beaters to bounce back and forth a lot, but they seem to do it with the spring tension low as well.
