I am in need of the strongest best sounding tom heads!
I'm tired of saving money on the cheap ones.
I have just coverted to playing hard rock and hard hitting metal tunes, and I need some strong, longest lasting heads available.

Please give your opinions on a good head, coated or not, I just need input...thanks!

Remo double coated, pinstripe.

The Weather Kings and Weather Masters are pretty thick heads.

Yup, those will do it. Look for any 2 ply head, they will go longer.

Are your current heads splitting open on you or are they dimpling?

For what your looking for, I would say the Evans Onyx 2 ply batter and the G1 reso.
