Just thought id take a shot in the dark here. If anyone has seen an old cracked Zickos snare shell laying around where i can get some of those older tube style lugs let me know. Ive googled, and searched, but no luck.

Ebay was my first stop. I havent checked craigs list or vintage.com but ill do that this afternoon, thanks for the info. Ive got a 6x13 clear acrylic goldntimes shell thats been sitting forever and want to get that project done!. Ive given myself a 30 day time limit.

Ive written this address down. Long story as to why i dont email this address. Ill write a note tonight and see if i cant obtain some of these lugs. Somewhere in the back of my mind im thinking an email reply was that Zicko had these tooled and purchased from a supplier and can no longer obtain these tube style lugs.

Tainojim, whats your pick for lugs on a clear acrylic shell for the cool factor. tube?, Fibes star type lug?. On pork pies amber acrylic ive always preffered the pie bow tie solid lug over the tube.

The only acrylic drum shells that I'm really familiar with are the Ludwigs.

I really never cared for the sound of them either. I've always been an acoustic drum kind of guy.

The only reason why I under stand them is because I've worked with Fiberglass in many forms and applications.

Fiberglass can crack too easily especially like on cars. A different application but the same aspect as far the repair of fiberglass.

As far as the lugs go, you may have to improvise with that. But don't give up, keep on trying to find them.

Give them a call and speak with one of their repair guys. I'm pretty sure that they may have an answer to your questions.
