Mapex Falcon Double Pedal Issue

Just got these pedals and love them. One big problem though, I can't get the slave pedal close enough to the main pedal.

I've got the connecting rod as close as could be. I've got them angled inwards and it's still not enough. I've taken each connection apart and it doesn't seem like there's much, if anything to play with other than the above.

Any ideas? Much appreciated.

If you are good with tools, cut the shaft and re-drill the hole and tap them.

If not, then go to your local hardware store and they should be able to alter them for a small fee.

Thanks for the reply.

That's a bit invasive though, I was hoping for a less extreme way that I just hadn't thought of. I hope that's not my only option

Ask the drum shop if they carry a shorter tandem rod for this pedal.

Does Mapex have a hardware catalog where you can order one directly?
