Evans EC2 SST


Evans EC2 SST heads would they work in a live UNmiced prog/classic rock situation yes or no? I have a Tama SCP birch kit.10,12,13,14 & 16.

As long as your bass drums/drums have portholes on the resonator, I think they should work well.

It would project the bass with better impact

Whats the bass drum head have to do with the ec2sst tom heads?

Sure they would work. Also, the reso head on the bass (having a port) does have a lot to do with the sound, but do they even make EC2 SST bass batter heads? I dunno.

I have EC2 SST heads right now, I don't see why any heads wouldn't work for that situation unless they were like J1's or something. EC2s are probably more suited to prog than most heads.

Between The Buried And Me 's drummer uses them and I thought they were decently loud with his kit. Though I think he just tested his drums and he plays loud music.

I use EC2s on my larger toms and I love them. They don't take volume away from the sound, just the the nasty overtone.
