I hear what you are saying about competitions

I entered one a few months ago in Q Magazine, all you had to do was solve a music related crossword puzzle ( I'm a cryptic crossword nut btw), submit your solution and wait to see if you were picked out of the hat to win.
That was my one and only attempt at entering a competition thus far because the prize on offer was a 7 piece PDP Platinum with a full set of Zildjian Hybrids worth over £3000

No, I didn't win, of course, but there must be a very happy bunny out there somewhere who did!!!!!!!

I'm a new member here, so I don't know the history of the site, but I think there's even fewer active members now than when I joined a few weeks ago. It's quite frustrating posting comments and not getting any feedback. I'm a member of another forum where the opposite situation is true -- you can't possibly keep up with the ongoing discussions.

I guess I like being at both places. This one is small but personable and accessible. The other one is rich with ideas, but overwhelming. That's the nice thing about the net -- we can have it all.

I hope people contribute...and especially take the time to welcome newcomers.

I don't know what kind of feedback you get skins but you do an awesome job here. I finally realized there was a section on drum videos and I saw your drum battle entry. Good solid drumming...and good entertainment (heavy breathing..."me Tarzan" attitude). For some reason your competitor has pulled his entry. What was that all about? I guess that means you won in the long run!

Anyway, you're an awesome drummer and an awesome moderator. You deserve some pats on the back.
