Does Anyone Out There Have Vex Drums? I Took A Chance And Bought A Set On E Bay And I'm Pretty Satisfied With It. I Know You"get What You Pay For" But There Are Some Outrageous Prices Out There ! Ludwig Wants Over 2,000 For There Fab Four Set. It's Their Low-end 4 Piece Set But It's Black Pearl Like Ringo's First Kit. How Can They Justify That Price. I Know There Are A Lot Of Kits Out There For Less Than $500 But Believe Me, There All Chinese. Don't Let The Name Fool You. Japan Is Even Outsourcing Their Cheaper Sets To China And Korea. It Might Say Yamaha On The Bass Drum Head,but If It's 500 Or Less,you Can Bet It's Chinese Or Korean.

Like the old saying goes, Buy American. Yeah Right. Just like cars and electronics. When you look inside of some TV sets, you'll see parts in there like made in the Philippines, Mexico, Taiwan, and so on.
I've repaired many electronics set. But the brand names like Zenith, RCA, Pioneer are on the front to jive you into thinking that they are U.S. products.

I bought a Buick made in Canada. Who knows where the parts came from.

No difference with drums, unless you buy something that is custom made and they are pricey.

As the old saying goes, you get what you paid for unless your an expert to examine the product before purchase.

The big companies just want cheap labor and charge you more for crappies. That's why we are in this big recession. Putting unions out of business and hiring these small contractors to take the wrap when something goes wrong.

So before you buy American, make sure it's American.
