Gretsch Drums

Gretsch shatters conventional drum design with the Renown57 in Motor City Blue. Inspired by the great American car companies from the 1950’s, the Renown57 incorporates timeless, iconic car design elements and applies them to drums. The “hood ornament” is the Renown chevron, an aluminum triangular teardrop painted white with raised beveled chrome edges and embossed chrome Gretsch logo. Matching Gibraltar throne is included FREE for a limited time. Renown57 has standard Renown Maple specifications that produce punchy, full tones and rock solid performance.

I had a 4 piece Gretsh back in the early 1980's....I had a cheap no name crash cymbal. It was the best crash I ever had...wish I still had it; Used the kit with my first band TRIGGER! Back in the 1970's I had an original 5 piece blue maple wood Kent. I was just starting out on the drums....I really wish I still had that set. They stopped making them at the end of the 1970's; I would give up my $3000.00 Pearl/Zildjians to have the Kent again. Big time collectors set today. But your right about the Renown57...I love the look...I have a pic of the set as my Computer background. Sometimes I just stare at it for a while.
