Drum movies

What are your favorite drum movies or non-drum movies? I know there aren't that many drum movies, but the one that comes to mind for me is Drumline.. It was kind of a revolution and a good thing for drumming.. what did you all think of the routines and drum battles in that movie?

now now... let's not be racist here.. we all know that the black man has got more rhythm than you! ha, i kid..

even tho drumline wasn't the best show of drums in the world I think it was still entertaining in the very least.. and it exposed drums and drumlines to the general public which is a good thing

i dont know coming from the marching band world i rather enjoyed the movie..i thought it was a good way to introduce the general non drummer to the world of drumming..and the computer that printed out the licks the drummer was playing was cool..i wanna use one of those..lmao..

I remember an older movie from the sixties or so (forgot the name) which featured during the opening credits a shot of a drummer pounding out a jazz type solo. It was pretty unusual to see it like that and the movie was not about drums so I don't know where they got the idea but it was cool and it seemed to go on forever. Maybe the director was a closet drummer.
Anyone else ever see this movie?

I know its not just about drums, but Spinal Tap is the greatest music movie of all time.

I liked drumline but a lot of the things in the movie were really stupid like how he couldn't read but he could see in slow motion and perfectly copy somebody play, and the part when he plays on somebody elses drum the guy just punches him. people wouldn't do that in real life

Drumline was ok. Just ok. I think Nick Cannon did a descent job. My favorite part was the last drum cadence scene when they all dropped their sticks.
