How much do you think they are paid to attend these events? I'm guessing it is a lot.

Consider the opportunity costs for them...every hour at WFD is an hour away from a lucrative career waiting tables at Hooters or giving lap dances at Deja Vu.

LOL Yeah I'm guessing it's a competitive wage comparable to an import model doing cars or something.. WFD isn't as well known or as popular so it's probaly less than that though

acording to the behind the scenes on the dvd what you are seeing on the film is them playing and they also show them with teachers in a studio learning to play.

Do some research b4 ya form an opinion...

I understand the misconceptions about the WFD. But wouldn't it make sense to research the orginization and what their goals are first before you form negative opinions. I've known Boo McAfee since 2001 when I attended some master classes at NPI here in Nashville,Tn. He is definitely one of those people who are trying to bring drumming and drummers some much deserved world-wide attention. Boo, in conjunction with Craig Allen the inventor of the Drumometer , have succeeded in bringing a large number of new people into the drumming community through the WFD. He has also enlisted the help of some well known drummers and clinicians into the WFD such as Mike Mangini, Johnny Raab, and Art Verdi just to name a few. The WFD is not just about speed of hands and/or feet. After all, consider this... Without proper technique, achieving blazing hand and foot speed is impossible. Check out the article by T. Bruce Wittet in the Sept. issue of Modern Drummer(pg.126) for the full scoop on the WFD.

Flip the switch and groove,
Todd
