I've been playing texas hold'em online at bodog and I've been having some good results.. made $200 in a day... really, it's not totally about luck.. a lot of skill is involved as well.. but then it's a real time sucker.. how awesome would it be to be a pro gambler.. better than being a pro drummer if u ask me

I had a freind that had some very bad exsperinces with them.

and no I wouldnt think being a pro gambler would be better than being a pro drummer.

I've been playing on and off for a about a year now... of course I've suffered some losses as well but overall I think I have a net gain of about $2000 in the year.. You really need to know how to play and you need to find the right places to play.. your friend probaly had bad experiences because he didn't know how to play and had all of his money taken from him... gotta know when to stop

well im not sure about the drum vs poker comparison but the rush of going all in and winning money is awesome

It wasnt that he didnt know how to play it was that he won a sh*t load of money and when he went to quit and wanted his money they gave him a hard time about wanting to pay it to him.

They finaly sent to him when he went to take legal action agenst them.

damn I suck at poker.. Ive at party poker for fake money.. and i still lost.. cant take that chance.. would rather buy some drums with that money

Oh okay, then that is an issue with the site itself not playing poker... You reeally need to think of it as a job and research your employer, the website, to see if they're legit. Go on forums and see what people are saying about each of the sites... I've played mostly on bodog and have never had any problems like that. They pay pretty quick and give a lot of bonuses as well.

I think he was on the one that you used to see in all the magazine's for a while. this was a few yeaers ago so it may not be a prob any more.

stop pissing away money and get a real job.. that **** can get really addicting.. i know people who have lost EVERYTHING because of gambling.. including their house and families

those people are stupid and are newbies who think they know what theyre doing when in fact they dont... those people ruin the reputation for everyone else and gambling automatically has this negative image. But the truth is, poker or any skill game is like any other job. You take risks and if you're smart about it you'll make money in the long run.. people are just stupid

i hear more gambling horror stories than happy endings.. not a route im planning on taking
