Who here has an Ipod?

Well looks like Apple Ipods are all the craze these days and almost everyone I know has one - except me. I never really felt the need to upgrade into the trend so I'm still carrying around my 256mb iRiver mp3 player. It's old and outdated but it still works. I should probaly get an Ipod one of these days though.

Do all of you guys have Ipods?

Yeah I've heard nothing but good things about them. The one thing I don't like though is that when you buy one, something new will come out within the next year making your current Ipod outdated. I guess it just bothers me because I like having the newestgadgets if I'm going to have them at all.

I have the Sony HD5, 20GB. It's a decent little machine but the software for loading the tracks is awful - frequent crashes etc.

My only gripe with the machine itself is that you can't actually queue up a song to play next while you're listening to something. Annoying.

I'm not a big fan of iPods, I believe theyre waaayyy overrated. Instead, I have a good ol' 5GB Creative Zen. I thought of getting one with more space but I doubt I'd ever use all of it. Anyway, it's good and I've never had a problem.

Well looks like you guys are out of the loop too. You've got to admit though, they are trendy and easy to use, especially with their computer software, Itunes - which is extremely fast and very user friendly. I use it myself. Of course, something like 60 gb seems excessive but in today's world you can never get enough memory.

Somebody buy me an Ipod please...

Now that they're also made to hold video, 60GB really isn't that much. Whatever's available in terms of storage capacity - that's what people will use and exceed. Remember when the only portable storage medium was a 1MB floppy disc? Seemed ample at the time. Just like 60GB seems ample now. In a few years we'll be carrying at least a couple of TB around with us.

Where will it end? What's next, what technical breakthrough will arrive to change everything? What is the Betamax of today?
