Smile I finally got my P2002C

I'm so happy and excited. I've been waiting for a month now for the double bass pedals to come and it showed up today, thank you Purolator guy. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips/advice on how to start off. Consider me an absolute beginner.

Well when your just starting, go slow. Just start a single stroke roll and make sure its as even as possible. When your comfortable at this level increase the speed. Also, paradiddles with your feet help alot.

OK thanks. I not sure whether it's easier with heel up or down... probably up right?

I'd say up is more likely, but you'll find that out through playing it. Just be comfortable and it'll happen one way or the other. Or both.

Thanks, I just have one more question. I've been looking for the answer all day yesterday and couldn't find it so maybe one of you might know. The spring tension on each pedal seems to be the same, but when I bring back each beater and let go, the left goes back and forth lets say 5 times, but the right beater keeps going for 10 pendulum-like movements, back and forth. Anybody know how I can adjust them to be exactly in synch? or does it even matter?

I think that the left side would have more of a load so it's harder to move. Because of this, it would swing less even if the spring tensions are the same. I suggest that you tighten the left spring more than the right to make them even. Go by how many times they swing rather than by how tight the springs are. This should solve your problem.
