Nice dark music

Was going to post this in the "Drummers" section but the vidoes aren't great quality, which is a shame because this guy's one of the best drummers I've ever heard. Anyway, thought you might like to hear some very minimal and dark rock, this stuff sounds better on record and may not appeal instantly but it's the sort of thing that opens up the more you listen to it. (I reckon, anyway).

And why not check the end of "Good Morning, Captain", a track I just keep talking about because it's so good that it's beyond good! Again, that may not be apparent from the video but this stuff ROCKS!

That's good stuff. We've got a local band you might like. You can check them out here.

They remind me of the sort of bands Mogwai sign to their label. Pretty good, I would have gone nuts for it a few years ago but to be honest I've seen a lot of bands doing that sort of thing and I'm a little tired of it. The band Slint I linked to above unfortunately spawned a lot of bands trying to do the atmospheric dynamic thing but very very few of them even come close. Slint's album "Spiderland" is an absolute masterpiece.

Actually maybe I'm being a bit too negative, it's very late and I've been recording all day so my ears and mind are fried. I'll give it another listen in the morning.

I like the slint band (haven't checked out the local one yet), it's really relaxing and the drumming flows with the music
