Microsoft is coming up with their own version of a mp3 player to compete with the Ipod. It's called the Microsoft Zune. Has anyone heard of it?
Microsoft is just everywhere these days - operating systems, computer accessories, software, hardware, video game systems with the XBox, and now the mp3 player realm.
I think Apple has built a reputation with the Ipod that would be hard to beat. While microsoft is a good company, the apple Ipod has the time tested quality.
That's true but at the same time I think Microsoft has the reputation and the resources to create some thing and market it in a way to really compete with the Ipod.
Just think of the video game industry. First Nintendo was the big player as well as Sony with the Playstation. Then Microsoft came out of nowhere to release the XBox and now it's one of the top video game consoles.
