Very sad news. He seemed genuinely passionate about what he did, not a huge amount of celebs like that around.

He was a true friend of the animals and will be missed.

It's been a sad week for us Aussies. Today we lost another icon, Peter Brock, rally champion. More tragic irony, he died in a car crash.

At this rate, we'll have noone left with bonza accents to look up to.

I've watched so many episodes of his show, it was the most interesting and daring show around. I admired him so much for they ways he showed the world of the animals that most people wouldn't dare go near. I think we can all agree that he died doing what he loved best, but there are some people who won't take no for an answer. Now fans are killing innocent stingrays for what they did to Steve. If a man with a knife runs at you what do you do? The poor thing was only protecting himself/flicked his tail for no reason at all. Killing stingrays, or anything for that matter, without a GOOD reason is everything Steve was against. That's just totally nuts and I hope that it'll stop soon.
