just somthing to talk about.

since this is just general discussion I thought I would share with all of you that I fixed my A/C in my truck all by myself.

Not that Im not mechanicly inclined it's just that I dont know much about A/C on a vehical.

But I ended up saving a lot of money just because I started to investegate it, And it turns out it was somthing very simple.

I guess all of life is that way. What looks really hard some times can be really easy when we really look into it.

well anyways just wanted to share that with you all since almost no one else is writing anything.

Get the Chilton's car's manual if you intend on keeping your vehicle. They only cost about $10.00 each

Probably true for a lot of things. It's just easier to pay somebody else to do that stuff. Plus if it goes wrong you can blame someone else too. We just bought a house and are quickly learning to do a lot of things that I would normally hire somebody for. Congrats on your A/C Mr. Fix-It!

A bad mechanic, can't blame his tools for his mistakes.

And also, this forum helps for things like that(but not really with cars)
Sometimes, you can fix things instead of buying new ones, and people here know how!

While we're here(or some of us not, and I should probably put this somewhere else :/), I found a way of making your own moongels. I've never heard moongels, as far as I know, but they probably sound a little better. I just put some tissue folded up on my snare batter head, with some duct tape over it
It works OK, so whatever. I just hope I don't take it off in a year, and screw up the head!

Re: just somthing to talk about.

ive done that before. you definitely can screw up the head, if not inevitably. if you used good duct tape, your head is gonna die

whether this works "better" or not is difficult to say. it works "differently" and gives a different sound.

and that is totally irrelevant to this thread, but who cares? not I.

Yeah, but it's in off topic, and that's totally off topic of the discussion
At least my snare sounds decent now
