What Genre of books do you read, and what authors?

I love to read, I dont know about you...(trails off)to get to the point.

Mysterys, Tony Hillerman, Sue Grafton, Dick Francis,Jack Higgins, and Agtha Christie.

When i was younger "Frank w. dixon"(too manny people) and the person who wrote the 3 investigators.

I like Sci-fi/thriller books by the likes of Ray Bradbury, Dean Koontz Michal Chriton, John saul, and the Douglas Preston/Lincon Child colaborations are Awesome! Steven king is always good, And I love the Insane GENEIOUS of Hunter S Thompson. But my favorite author by far is Chuck Palahnuik. If you like the movie fight club, you owe it to yourself to read the book it's based on, and go ahead and buy all of Chuck's books.

Personally, I like adventure/fantasy type stuff. Mythology and such. Currently im really interested in Stephen King.

Whatever we read in school usually suits me and that's about as far as I go reading wise. But my favorite author would be, ummm Walter Dean Myers, yea. He wrote Monster, Slam, and a couple other really good books. Last one I read from him, a coupel years ago, was about a kid who was living with his grandma, and she has to go to the hospital, his mom's dead I think so he has to go live with his sorta low life dad. His dad does robberyy's and stuff and is out a lot so the kid's perty much on his own except for the $$ his dad gives him everyday. Then at the end they plan this fairly large heist and then I don't remember what happens after, I know one guy gets shot but not much else. Surprised I remember that much, heh. But yea, he's about my favorite author.

I don't care much for reading within the story lines. But anything technical, now that's up my alley. If it's got something educational, factual, and functional, manuals.
I just like to learn and apply myself from reading manuals, even anything about survival, building things and assembling.

I Usually wait for the movie

I have to research so much stuff, reading becomes a chore for me most days!

There are too many variations between reading the book, and watching the movie.

Harry Potter is a big example of this.

My son was disappointed, he read the books first before the movie came out.

It was a great disappointed for him and just stopped reading the books altogether.

The story line changes dramatically.

Same with Superman comics and the movies. Big disappointment.

Reading is still fundamental. So reading is "GOOD". Too many movies, "BAD".

OOOOOOOOO! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!!!

"PICTURES", I like pictures, schematics, blue prints, diagrams, drawings, sketches.
I use to buy MAD magazines just to look at the little drawings along the sides and bottoms of the pages, then I would do the back page fold up thing, then give the magazine to my cousin to read.

Cookie Monster stuff, MMMMMMMMM!
