What's with all the spam or is it just me?

It appears random spammers are posting on this site which is no surprise. I would suggest to never reply to their postings but that's just my opinion. Anyone else notice the random baffling or is it just me?

You know, for the whole time I've been on the forum, there has been a lot of spam.
I've seen worse days.
Where a few of these threads would be created.
Not posting on there will help a lot.
Just be carful out there.
I personally haven't noticed that much activity.
More moderators please.

Hokie,

Spammers have always been active here and we (skin, taino, dsc and myself) work hard to keep it clean but sometimes they hit us with a barrage of spam so it takes a few to get it cleaned up. Best thing to do is exactly what you said, don't acknowledge the spam and reply to the thread as if the post wasn't even there. It would also help if you report the spam using the yield sign with the exclamation point icon on the top right corner of the thread. This will give the mods notification there is spam.

our mods usually do a great job. the only time i ever really became annoyed with it was when taino wasnt a mod yet and skin and der were out of town or something, so nobody was able to clean up. otherwise, they get it all pretty fast.

I did not realize the yield sign. I just had band practice and have limited time to go online but i do however, make time to come to this site on and off on a daily basis. I like the people here and the knowledge other drummers bring from gear to playing. I will do the yield sign thing but most of the time it is random words on threads and the member has only 1 reply. It's not a big deal just annoying and part of the internet community.

I'm unemployed.

Maybe you could hook me up as a MOD at your job.

Seems to me like your work place needs one.

Not a Spam MOD job either.
