Re: Beater getting stick to bass drum

When I switched to plastic beaters I was having an issue with the main beater sticking to the head after 30 minutes or so of play time. This was at a church in which case I would bring my own pedals. The bass drum head had a Falam Slam on it and I found that playing just a couple songs was fine. Only after continual use with no cool-down period the beater would stick. The beater was warm to the touch after a few songs and the Falam Slam heats up too from being struck repeatedly, and the two were sticking together. So I switched to a lightweight felt covered speed beater.
