Whats your worst moment as a drummer This guy is doing great keeping good time then it all goes wrong. The tom looks like its been taped on and it gets worse.
so whats you biggest nightmare on stage....
mine was my snare breaking when the skin DE-bonded from the metal ring and the snare got deeper and deeper every time i hit it as the tuning went it went half way into a song....But the show must go on never stop is the old saying............and deal with it at the end... Fortunately had a spare tuned up at the side so wasn't too bad..and changed the head at the interval.... |

Re: Whats your worst moment as a drummer Probly at the beginning of a song when One of ma cymabls wasn't complelty secure and fell over, It unfortunatly landed on ma ride cymbal, China Cymbal, And 2nd tom haha. I fixed it but that was a definate change to the song lol. It was a poison song, they NEVER use THOSE parts of the drumset! |

Re: Whats your worst moment as a drummer On the field, in a snare line, in front of 88,000 football fans (at our home stadium) - in the first piece my head split, so I had to "fake" the rest of the show.
Everyone bought me beers that night, and had a good laugh about it for a while... 1985 UGA Redcoat Drumline - the video is so-so. This isn't the show that the head split, however.

It was hanging by a thread and the cymbal luckily didn't drop on me..but i was bricking it trying to get to the end..... |

Re: Whats your worst moment as a drummer Oh Jeez - i was part of thrown together group to play for huge university retirement party for outgoing Dept. head. Complete with full choir, in the main auditorium. When our time came for the Big Song, I rushed the beat, and we were waaay too fast for the choir; the director kept turning around to yell at me, I was just ignoring her 'cause i was already gone. Really embarrassing.
But, I still got fed.

Re: Whats your worst moment as a drummer Sigh... I'm new to this, but this is the worst it's been- I was in my bands garage playing when i hit the mounted tom, dropped the stick, and it went flying through the air and shattered a light bulb on the ceiling 4 feet in front of me. I admit, i am now afraid of light bulbs hanging on the ceiling 4 feet in front of me. |

Re: Whats your worst moment as a drummer Probably for me it was breaking a drum stick during a show. The whole thing was crazy. I broke a stick on my ride and the broken end went flying towards the bass player, hitting right across the fretboard. For a couple seconds, there was no sound from the drums, due to me replacing my stick, and a horrible explosion from the bass when my stick hit the guitar. Everyone was staring... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
