Could anyone tell me if the "Yamaha DTXpess Module" and "Axis eKit Triggers" are compatable or not?,Just that I'm having a problem getting any sound out,Wondering if its me got the set up wrong.

Thanks Tainojim,I did notice something in the video,The fella was using stereo Jack plug in the Axis Boxes,I have been using Mono,But before i go out and get some Stereo Jacks can anyone tell me if I've got this correct?.Anyway many thanks again.

I've never repaired one so I don't know if their single or double coil wrapped.

If it uses the stereo 1/4" it could also indicate one contact for the left and one for the right pickup coil. One coil on each pickup indicating the two contacts on the plug could be one contact for each pickup. Also stereo input for the module.

eKit Triggers

This is a typical wiring diagram. Instead of a Rim Piezo and a CYM Piezo, picture two separate eKit Triggers. One connects to the tip and the other to the ring.
The sleve goes through the cable into a stereo jack at the module. I hope this makes sense.

If it does please explain it to me.

When i asked the seller of the Yamaha DTXpress if the inputs were Mono or Stereo he told me that the only stereo input was the HiHat input.

As a retired electronics engineer I'm telling you that he knows not what he is selling.

The trigger cable contains a splitter to route the 2 separate cables into one stereo jack at the module. What you actually have is two signals coming from two triggers and going into a stereo jack at the module left and right. This ain't rocket science, it only take basic electronics and that's 90% logic and 10% common sense. I think that he sold you the wrong cable if it's mono. You have to use stereo cables all the way.

I'm sure your troubles will be over after you do this.
