Arrow Need Your Ideas for an Upcoming Drum Product...

If you are brand new to the drums or just beginning, this thread is for you.

I'm currently writing a lesson plan for a drum lesson product I'm developing and would love your input. If you could answer any or all of these questions it would be greatly appreciated:

What questions do you have as a beginning drummer?

What lessons do you want to learn?

What do you like/dislike about beginning drum lesson videos you have already watched?

What kind of personality do you look for in a drum teacher?

Again guys and girls, thank you so much for your time. I really look forward to hearing what you have to say and implementing your ideas into my upcoming drum lesson product.

The stepping stone for beginners are rudimants.

They can start with the 20 essential ones and then work up to the 40.

Drum tuning and drum maintenance could work well for beginners and then accoustics after their second level of learning.

Thumbs up Re: Need Your Ideas for an Upcoming Drum Product...

Although tuning and maintenance are great things to know (and I will probably include in my lessons) I'm focusing on the pure fundamentals for being able to sit down and jam a beat fast. I think a lot of beginners just want to get a basic beat under their belt and then they can start focusing on tuning and maintenance once they become more serious.

I totally agree with you when it comes to rudiments. You gave me a really cool idea by bringing this up. Thank you!

Keep the ideas flowing. I'm writing everything down so don't feel like your opinions and ideas are just floating off into the depths of the interwebz
