I respect your position Davenhurst. A lot of times people want drummers to change their style. You can change what and how you play things, but you just can't force a drummer to change their style.

Good job making a stand. Maybe that duct tape should be use to tape those engineers' mouths shut... haha

On my old set I used duct tape to fix the hi-hat. The different tubes wern't working right because the ones on the outside were moving but the ones on the inside wern't because of some screw or something. Basically I pushed the pedal down and nothing happened. So I took a roll of duct tape and wrapped it around the whole shaft to keep them all stuck together. Worked great until the duct tape started losing its hold a little.

Re: duct tape!

Does anyone know if there's a difference between duct tape and gaffer tape, or are they different names for the same thing?

Re: duct tape!

Gaffer tape is for use on someone that talks to much, and duck tape for for closing quacks right?

Re: duct tape!

duct tape is more plastic-y, gaff tape is more fibrous.

Thanks butter. Any idea where I could buy the gaff tape? Hardware outlets in Canada, at least, only carry duct tape (and mostly the crappier "duck" tape brand). I find it way too sticky and messy.

Home Depot should have some.
