My friend wants some help choosing a new drumset. He's a beginner and I haven't been totally up to date with the latest entry level kits but is the Pacific CX any good? I figure that since they're under DW they must be pretty reliable. And I know that the hardware and stuff will probaly suck but it should do for now. I think the kit goes for around 600-700. Any thoughts?

i think it's a great deal.. for the price it sounds awesome

he should just make a makeshift drumset and see if he's willing to stick with it before he drops 600 on a kit.. it's more the player than the kit itself (words of wisdom) haha
