Question The New Drumometer

Has anyone actually seen the new Drumometer? I've seen pictures on the site www.drumometer.com but haven't actually seen one. It has alot of new features and looks like a big improvement compared to the old version.

is this like a drum speedometer? i use the miniTempo REF when I play with my band and absolutely love it. What features does the drumometer have that the tempo ref doesn't?

hm, seems like interesting stuff... are these things battery operated? I might consider replacing my quartz metronome with a high tech gadget to play with

I think the drumometer records how fast you can play single strokes.. whereas the ref tells you your tempo.. not sure if the drumometer do this too tho.. someone correct me on this

The Tempo Ref is just a reverse metronome like the Beat Bug and Groove Guide. The Drumometer is the only one that counts how many strokes a drummer plays within a set time and is used to set the record for the World's Fastest Drummer. It has a metronome on it but I'm not sure about the reverse metronome.

i think the tempo ref would be better for musical applications and playing with a band. The drumometer just spits out a number after playing as fast as you can. I dont really see applicability unless you're training for WFD.. or unless you want a cool gadget to play with
