Places to buy drum stuff

Where do you guys usually buy your drum gear at? Online or places like Guitar Center or local drum shops.. Online you can find the best deals but shipping might be an issue especially if you wanna ship that big bass drum over... usually i get my smaller stuff like sticks, head, and hardware from online and drums at guitar center.. i also go to guitar center to test drums out and have a little fun now and then...

I use some of the online stores like musican's friend for reviews and to compare prices.. then I either go on ebay or my local drum shop to look for some good prices or buy used gear.. it's always better to get a good deal

full metal is on a distinguished road
I was gonna buy I double bass kit from a company that was just like musicans freind I think it was Zz sounds but anyways they were going to ship it for free.
Alot of the online companys do that if you spend so much money so I try and stick with the online ones as much as I can, besides that when I shop around I usealy get a better deal thru them anyways.

About the only thing that you cant do is order a custom kit and I mean very custom or order DW drums.
You can order pacific but not DW. Somthing about how they dont want there stuff shipped thru major companys, I read it one time but it sounded like a bunch of bull to me.
But anyways if you are able to wait for your stuff I would sugest going thru the oneline ones more.

i dont really like shipping big drums as ive had a bad experience where one of the shells to my drums was broken when it got here... the packaging was poor and i wont say which company but i would rather pick up drums myself.. little things like sticks and stuff are ok for shipping i would think though
