Only been playing a month so not much, walking past my stool I tripped over the legs and smashed my head on the edge of a chest of drawers nearby (In my house obv :P).

Re: Drumming injuries..

Through the years I have......hit my fingers, hit my eye, hit my forehead, whacked my knuckle on the rim, received splinters from well used sticks, pinched my hand by closing stands too quickly, cut myself from flaking chrome on an old stand........yelp I've had my share....maybe I should be Whackthknuckle, or Thumpthhead, or Thumphnose instead of Thumpthdrum. We all, admit it or not, if you have played for any amount of time experienced at least one or more of these embracing events. Embracing?...Yes! If you have experienced at least one of these....You know when it happened you looked around a little to see if anyone else saw what happened...hoping that they didn't.

Re: Drumming injuries..

Ok... Ummmm....
Hit my face multiple times with the stick...
I close hung my neck when ran past a cymbals boom stand (extremely painful...)
clamped my finger in the hi-hat. (epic fail)
Lets face it , we all get turned on by our own drum sets. Its just part of drumming!!
PEACE!!!

Re: Drumming injuries..

uhh well nothin too bad has happend to me but watch out when playing with old hot rods they shed splinters like crazy but my friend played in a band with a drummer who had a stick break and half of the stick went through the skin between his thumb and pointer finger. ouch! he just kept playing and finished the set!

Re: Drumming injuries..

i hit my finger on the rim and broke it

my crash fell off the little stage and hit the (old) bass in the head

my friend took his splash and threw it like a frisby and hit someone

i was playing for like 4 hours and i got a blister and it poped all over my set =)
