Re: Storing drums in bad places

Yeah mine are in me basement.
The basement doesnt get damp or muggy
The walls kind of absorb the sound so that im not bugging any one when I rock.

Re: Storing drums in bad places

You're not going to get any sympathy from me, Death. I'd almost give my left hand to live in Australia...well, that's overstating the case, but Australia is my family's dream destination.

As for doing drum damage, Ontario's weather is terrible. The wrap on my bass drum cracked many years ago from going in and out of warm rooms and into frigid, below freezing temperatures in cars and vans. The shells themselves are surprisingly durable but like most things, drums aren't made for Canadian winters. I guess an all metal kit would work if you scraped off the frost.

Then I'll make sure we come in the summer, although your winters are probably nothing compared to ours. My family went to Florida a while ago and we were in shorts and t-shirts while everyone else had on winter coats. It'll be years before we can afford a trip to Australia -- years of not buying drums!

Eh? What was that, eh? I don't say "eh" much but my friends from the Ottawa valley do.

And we don't eat back bacon like the stereotype suggests. They eat it more in Ireland from what I'm told.

What or who are bogans?
