I got some isolation ear buds - Shure e2c and they are just great for playing drums with your music player or as in ear monitors. They basically block all exterior sound other than what's coming into the headphones so when you play drums you'll hear less of your loud drums and more of the music. Then you can adjust the music to find a good balance - without going deaf. These are great investments. I think I spent like $80 for them on eBay but it was well worth it. Anyone else use isolation earphones like this?
