My favorite is the triple ratamacue. I just love... the combination of ruffs and beats. I also like the swiss army triplet.

No least preference.

Re: Can you play the 40 Essential Snare drum rudiments?

Yeah I can play them all. Just not all perfect.

My favourite's out of one of these -
Single stroke four
Ruff
Flam tap

Hmm... least favourite.. probably single stroke roll, cause however much I try to get faster, Buddy's always gonna beat me.

Buddy has been dead for quite some time now. So don't worry about the competition.

I know. But then I see some footage of him and get depressed all over again.

Hey DK,
you should be happy for those guys for paving the way for us instead of getting depressed over their passings. Remember the good things in life. So get over the mourns and look forward.

My father was a great xylophonist and a good harmonica player as well. That's what I remember about my dad. Not the deep six. Life is to be a joyful thing, but the after life will be even better.

It is plain to see I should not have left you to assume that I was 'depressed' over Buddy's death. I was depressed over the fact that he's faster than me. Which I was not actually depressed about, nor do I care much about. I was playing with you, having a laugh - a concept it seems you fail to grasp. I understand though.

It is depressing to work real hard for a very long time and still be slower than a dead guy.

Re: Can you play the 40 Essential Snare drum rudiments?

Dude I was just lallygaging poetically. We all seem to play with each other here at the forum. Believe me bro, nothing goes over my head. We are all drumming siblings here.

Now as far as good old bud, practice, practice, practice. You'll get there. It's only a matter of time.

Man here at the forum I just take off my shoes and settle a bit.
Now as far as my dad, I was being truthful and I know you got that part alright.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I don't take anything here too seriousely unless it's about helping other drummers. Been drumming for over 50 years and i love it.

If you read some of my other posts and threads you'll see where I'm coming from.
Even Mr. Butter thinks I have a certain weard personallity.

Keep in touch DK, and happy drumming.

As for Mr. Der, I thought I had a warped sense of humor. I guess mine is just a twisted one compared to yours.
