What percussion accessories do you use?

Just curious?

I use a mounted tabourine, blast and jam blocks, and egg shakers.

I like my Kenny Aronoff signature cowbell... and of course my ghetto homemade woodblock pedal! (laugh it up!)

I just made that with some extra stuff lying around... I put it on the other side of my hi hat. Its pretty loud, and its a cool way to come up with some unique grooves.

I think that's really cool. I hope to make some octobans in the future.

I forgot to mention my cowbell. I remembered it because I just finished packing up my mini kit for a church practice we have tomorrow after the second service.

I usually pack it the day before and have a check list that I go over As I load it into the van.

Yeah, all I have is a cowbell mounted between my toms. You need more cowbell!

Plus, I have some chimes that I use for those slow mellow songs. It's a nice touch.

I don't have a lot of that stuff, just my roto toms.

I've got an old cowbell jying around but I just don't use it ever.

Wouldn't mid getting a hat tambourine though.

Hey, if it works, it works!

Some of my drum set gigs involves playing Caribbean music (steel band calypsos and socas), reggae, or Brazilian music, and on those gigs I'll use a variety of cowbells, agogo bells, wood blocks, whatever is needed (and whatever I can squeeze onto my kit!)

BTW, that small drum to the left of my 10" tom, is a home-made drum set tamborim, my version of a drum commonly used in Brazilian samba bands. Sometimes, I'll swap it out for another cowbell, or a wood block, depending on the kind of music I'm playing.
