Summer drum playing

Hey guys,
What are your plans this summer in terms of drums? I know most kids are out of school and working folk are taking vacations here and there. It's a great time to play some gigs or get ahead in practicing on the drum set. I dont know, the summer motivates me to really practice hard but the sun makes me pretty lazy as well.

So what are your summer drum plans?

I really don't see the point in buying cheap drum stuff anymore. I could have just saved all the money I spent on upgrading and have gotten a top of the line kit by now. What do you think about that? I guess you have to start somehwere though.

whats up guys Im back,
but I think that I am going to have to agree with him. Save up to get what you really want. and If still cant affored the set then get the things that you want to go with the set like some really good cymbals and a really good pedal and any other hardware that you might want like a rack or what ever untill you can get the kit you really want because you will get in due time.

hey full metal, welcome back.

I think the only thing with that is that if we go straight to the best, then we don't really know how good the best really is and could take it for granted. Maybe sometimes it's better to just go in steps. Equipment that matches your playing level and upgrade as needed.
