Is drumming at church different?

I was reading the article in the articles section dealing with church drumming and am curious to know all of your opinions. Is drumming at church to Christian music really different from other styles and situations?

I drum for my church's praise band and honestly I've never played in any other situation, unfortunately. So for those of you who have had a taste of both worlds, what are the differences? I'm guessing that you can do fancier and heavier stuff outside of church, depending on the music but what have your experiences been?

Hm, I've never heard any pentocostal stuff? Isn't that just when you rock out and go with the flow?

Cool! Those are all great bands. I especially like playing stuff by Chris Tomlin and David Crowder Band.
