Hey dtxt!

A really good question that would have the anthropologists thinking pretty hard! 'What species was the first drummer'? Drumming might have been the catalyst that helped to move the early humans forward on the path that eventually produced John Bonham & Neil Peart. Do you think we could get a sample of their DNA for analysis?

Re: sublimal messages

No problem getting a sample from Peart. As for Bonham, I think his DNA is in all of us, metaphysically implanted during listening to Led Zeppelin albums. He just hit the drums so hard the vibrations penetrated the ribonucleic acid strands and are festering there, waiting.

Re: sublimal messages

Hey dtxt!

Nicely done! I couldn't agree with you more. I still enter into a kind of metaphysical state when I listen to 'Ramble on'. I remember the very first time I heard that song and realized they were performing a tune to the story of Frodo Baggins' epic trek. Being a chronic Tolkien fan, I was (and still am) very impressed. May the musical gods that be rest his soul in rock and roll, and bring forth that which he (and they) instilled in us all! As for Mr. Peart, if I had once sintilla of his musical talent, DNA, RNA or otherwise I would be a very, very happy percussionist.

TRY HYPNOSIS!!!
Surely if it can help people stop smoking, it can help us stay on time.

Hey Louie J!

Nice to meet you man!!, but I would hold off putting the device to your ear & trying to sleep. I really doubt if you would get much sleep. What it most likely will do is make you too weary to pick up your sticks and enhance the timing excellence you are trying to acheive. Nice advice with the hypnosis though..that may work if you can find a truely reputable hypnotist. Most of them I have encountered are a might shady!
