What's your favorite gig you've ever done?

Mine was playing for a packed congregation at church. We played Open the eyes of my heart and a lot of other cool songs. It was my 5th gig I had ever played.

My favorite was a talent show I played at. Not really a gig, but oh well. It was just me and the kit. The room was filled with everyone from my school. It was insane.

Yeah, I did a talent show in school. It was intense, but alot of fun. I have my first real gig out in town this Saturday, and I don't really know what to expect. Im pretty nervous : /

Quite a number of years ago with the army band, we played the opening ceremony for the special olympics, Ray Charles headlined the show. The kids were great to meet, and it was a hugh stadium full of people, felt like a rock star for the evening, and we got to play for a great cause.

Thumbs up Re: What's your favorite gig you've ever done?

My favorite gig was for a street fest about 2 years ago. Me and the band we had put together played infront of about 5,000 people from 4-10 p.m. We did mostly cover songs from Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, and a few other bands too. It was the first real gig we did and it was a blast.

I got a call from Ian Mckaye to open for Fugazi here in Vegas with my old band Los Trios DeNada. We played it did great and that let me know dreams do come true if you work hard and get your name and style out there.

Two years I have been going now and each year gets better.
The forum members of cyberjammin.com get together somewhere for a three/four day festival of music. Everything from acoustic jams to improvisation.

it was i think about two years ago. we played at a packed venue and were headlining, Everything that could possibly go wrong did go wrong. It was so bad it looked something like a scene in the movies. Haha, It was so funny and horrible at the same time. It was a gig that i cannot forget. we laugh at it till this day.

Re: What's your favorite gig you've ever done?

It's a toss-up ... and probably neither really qualified as a "gig", because I only sat in on 3 songs or so.

One was my first time ever playing with live musicians, at a drummer's hang, not having a clue whether I could do it or not. I was scared to death, but when I hit the first beat (exactly when I was supposed to!), I went from wanting to be a drummer to being a drummer. It was the biggest rush I've ever had.

The other was being asked to sit in with my girlfriend's band ... they're all awesome musicians, and it was a thrill to play with them ... and especially to play with my friend on keyboards. It was a gas.

The only true "gig" I've done was my least favorite. It was a disaster. Half the rest of the band stunk. Bad.
