I really liked the shuffle article here and it sorta motivated me to learn some more of it...

some good shuffle beats im trying to master:
the blues shuffle applied to rock
the half time shuffle done by Dennis Chambers a lot
jazz shuffle
double bass shuffle

any more i should add to the list?

listen to A LOT of jazz and different music that has shuffle beats in them. honestly i dont think playing shuffle is all that hard. the blunt of the work comes from getting the feel right and really grooving to that so feel is #1 i think. for jazz shuffle i would recommend studying the song "night train" to start off
